As you are aware, the pandemic has accentuated the need for economies to integrate in global value chains and collaborate in technology intensive industries leading to growth in digitalization of businesses. During this period we witnessed accelerated adoption of new technologies thereby providing excellent opportunity for businesses across Asia to offer solutions to real-time problems and promote products and services.
With the endeavour to continue working towards enhancing India’s economic ties with major Asian economies and with a focus to promote regional integration for technology partnerships, we are pleased to inform you that CII will be organizing the Digital Conference and Exhibition on “Leveraging Regional Partnerships through New Age Technologies” on 31st August 2021. The concept note on the event is attached for your kind reference.
This event aims to provide a platform for multi-sectoral technology providers an opportunity to showcase their products / services that can seamlessly integrate software, equipment, and people to increase the speed, reliability, and flow of information between all systems. The conference would also deliberate on the technology trends in the post covid era wherein the business and technology strategies are expected to be inseparable. Extensive participation from industry, government and other stakeholders is expected, thereby resulting in some useful collaborations and outcomes.
Japan has one of the highest technological exports in the world, and is known for its latest methodologies of work, and its workforce is highly skilled as well. The Indian and Japanese companies have been collaborating over years in the manufacturing sector through joint product development and technology exchange. Under the recently signed pact, cooperation between India and Japan in the field of ICT especially in sectors like 5G, telecom security and submarine optical fibre cable etc is expected to strengthen further.
With this background and considering your continued support towards CII and its initiatives, I am writing to you with the following requests :
· Your views and suggestions on the focus sessions we have proposed, as part of the conference
· Identify Japanese companies which are looking to collaborate with Indian companies in any of the identified sectors, and would be keen to make a presentation and showcase their products / technology
· Help in promoting the event among the Japanese companies for their participation in the conference and exhibition
